Specific Applications for Vessel Tracking

Vessel Tracking and/or Vehicle Tracking for Fleet Management around the world or over a specific work area are all possible with Meridian's Vessel Tracking and Fleet Management System (MVM).

MVM has proven to be ideal for the following specific applications:

1.  MVM World Wide

MVM World-Wide provides vessel tracking and management coverage over all ocean regions via Inmarsat satellite communication links. 

2.  MVM for Oil Field

MVM for Oil Field provides vessel tracking through combination of real-time vessel position updates via UHF communication links and Inmarsat links for vessels plying to and from the oil field(s) and the supply base.  Enhancements include utilising the client's communication or internet links to send the vessel position data to shore for display at particular locations. 

3.  MVM Scout

MVM Scout provides vessel navigation for the scout vessel utilised during marine seismic surveys.  If fish traps are a problem with many having to be recovered prior to and during the seismic survey, MVM UHF systems can be installed on the fish trap vessels to enable the mother vessel (or scout vessel) to control and monitor their deployment.  Enhancements have been made to the MVM Mobile software to assist the scout vessel manager to record locations of fish traps and annotate where and when the fish traps have been recovered.
